Me too! I have some beans in some Bourbon and some in some vodka. I'm waiting for another few months to use them.Sounds good. I have had some vanilla beans soaking in Bourbon. I will need to try a little of that extract.

Pie has fruit in it. That means it's healthy. If you eat too much cake, it is the sin of gluttony. It is OK to eat too much pie because the sin of pie is zero.
If you have an ice cream maker, I see no reason why it wouldn't workYour pie is exquisite!
@MildredHubble - Clotted cream ice cream sounds amazing! I've never seen it here, but wonder if I can make it by simply swapping heavy cream for clotted cream, which we do have here. Glad you mentioned it. Cheers!
Thank you! I will definitely give it a try. I'm a bit allergic to vanilla, but, Ive made sweet cream ice cream, which doesn't contain any, so, I can imagine it turning out similarly (but, likely, more decedent). Thanks, again (-:If you have an ice cream maker, I see no reason why it wouldn't workI think it will just be a case of substituting the usual cream for clotted cream. I'm not entirely sure if clotted cream ice cream has any vanilla in it so it may be worth checking some recipes online. But either way, I can definitely recommend it as an accompaniment to a nice apple pie!
