I have a few employees with autism and asperger's, they see I treat them the same. Two are at the towing yard I co own with my two older brothers, one has autism and the other has asperger's. They are mechanics fixing and servicing our tow trucks. We hired them a year ago, came from a shop where a co worker of theirs was bullying them a lot. I got them out of there a year ago and get along with our 3 other mechanics. They know we take care of the problems if they get bullied right away. Have 2 of them at my auto salvage yard as well, a parts counter person and dismantler. Both have asperger's and keep a positive spirit. I take care of the problems right away and one was with a delivery driver from another yard I help out. Got on the one that is a parts counter person and I called the owner whom I know and he did fire that delivery driver when he got back. Was with an engine core they brought back and bullied him getting called a name.

Good for you. Bullying is inexcusable no matter who the victim is.
They are likely to be your most loyal staff. You get what you give in this world.
It sounds like you're doing everything right. A couple of years ago I helped work on a resource for employers with autistic staff, perhaps some of it might be useful or at least interesting to you:

Treat them fairly and give them some latitude to be themselves, and you will be repaid many times over.
I already have been repaid back in a good way from them and felt great. I still remember it and they did it on my birthday last month, seen I never had time for myself and set an appointment on a Saturday getting myself pampered which I loved
