I feel like buying a large bottle of whiskey for the upcoming weekend.

No, fructose is not a byproduct of alcohol metabolism.
I realised that after I posted, but didn't have the mental energy to go into it.
I have a few things going on in my personal life, atm.

Most of my research was about diabetes.
My assumption was that since fructose is a factor causing sclerosis of the liver, it would also involve alcohol, but that is incorrect.
Fructose involvement isn't the case with alcohol, but it is with diabetes.

Usually I Google before I post things, but as I said, I am addressing other major things in my life, atm.

I am munching on fresh watermelon and getting ready to watch some movies.

This is satisfying my sweet tooth currently.

I also picked up some Cosmic Crisp apples earlier today. Yummy stuff.
Enjoy the fructose. :p
I am diabetic, so I have to avoid it.

Jonn, you are a precious human being. I hope that addressing other things in your life will find positive solutions. We all hope this. Thanks for your explanation about your understanding regarding fructose. I didn't know that fructose harms the liver as does ETOH and that they have two different ways of being metabolized.

Normally, I would have researched again before posting, but I was so drained at that time.
My credibility is extremely important to me, hence my acknowledging my error.

Yes, I know I sound like a saint. 😇
