Hurricane Ian is going to be arriving for me soon.. just lots of rain and wind all day. I’m scared that the powers gonna go out tonight. I like meteorology, but the concept of being in a hurricane or tornado scares me!

I hope you area ll in good health there. I'm in South Carolina at present. Looks like we are going to get quite a rainy, windy bit of weather--I hope that it is not too strong, won't be nearly as bad as Florida is getting it.
 
Fastest wind speed I've ever personally encountered was earlier in the year when we were having 50mph+ gusts. A bit feeble compared to what is going on over there right now.
