I have survived Asperger's (undiagnosed) most of my life. I was only recently diagnosed and it connected a lot of dots for me. While I can't say that my life experiences as an Aspie have been pleasant, I can say that my life is what I made it. Like any other disability, I did not cause it. I can't cure it. I can only control my own attitude toward it. Keeping a positive attitude has made all the difference in the world for me. It made NT folks more willing to reach out to me and even accept my odd behaviors. Therefore I hope to share the experience, strength and hope I have gained from NT friends with my fellow Aspies in this forum.

Welcome :)

I'm glad you were finally able to find some answers; it can be quite a liberating experience. I hope you feel quite comfortable here. Our community is fairly friendly, and helpful.

I recommend taking a look at our resources section (for books, web links, etc.):

By your use of "Ya all" (or, as I say it, "y'all,") do I detect a fellow Southerner?

Yes or no, welcome to our corner! :)

From the looks of it, you'll be "ez-to-care" for over here, ezcare!

I just joined recently and the folks 'round here have been friendly and welcoming to me to say the least, so I'd say there's a great chance you'll feel like a part of the community in no time.

Welcome, and see you around!
