Hi everyone, My name is Jared and I was just diagnosed with AS about two weeks ago after being misdiagnosed since 2009 as bipolar. Its been hard to wrap my brain around. It makes sense, but is still hard. I am 25, will be 26 on July 3. I find it really hard to make friends, I hate talking on the phone and in person, but emails and texting are good. I have a gf of 3 years that I live with, she is NT. Its been a really rocky road, but I think the AS saved us, as it explains alot of my behavior. I just dont know where to go from here. Im totally lost. Anyway, I live in PA, but born and raised in VA. Well, I will shut up for now.

Welcome aboard Jared! Glad to hear you finally know you're an Aspie. I believe it can only get better from here.

I also hate talking on the phone, and I much prefer email. You'll find that a lot of the experiences you write about on here are relatable to many other people. Good luck, I'm sure you won't feel completely lost for long.

Thanks for the reply. After reading a few threads, I fell like the people here will get me, so far nobody has.
