Hi, I'm new here...

I found this forum from a link in a Wikipedia article about risperidone. Scanned through it last night and I think this one just sort of feels right, so I signed up. I am 55 years old, and ever since I was a kid, I have always felt like I am member of a different species. I have managed to get by in life by carefully watching and attempting to emulate the behaviour of other people. In social situations, I often feel like a actor without a script and on the wrong stage. When I engage in my hobbies/interests, I am the master of my own world. My doctor says I have Asperger's, and I do display some Asperger-ish characteristics: deep special interests, lack of empathy, heightened sensory inputs.

I probably won't be a frequent poster on this site, but I will post if I think I can add something to a thread.

Cheers.

Welcome to Aspies Central!

Hopefully, you'll find the areas of interest you like. Maybe you can consider creating a few threads?

Welcome to the forum. We have number of older members here who didn't find out about Aspergers until later on in their life, you should be able to relate to them and fit in here.

Hello Geordie and Droopy:
Thank you both for your welcoming comments.
I guess I could start a new thread, couldn't I? Why didn't I think of that myself?
:rolleyes2:
