Hi everyone. I'm new here and I have a lot to share about my experiences with Autism and maybe my hobbies as well.

Hi everyone. I just joined and I'm not very good at introducing myself but I was wondering if I could share my Autism related experiences. I was diagnosed with Autism all the way back when I was still a kid in the second grade. Since then, I've been through a lot of things, mostly very bad things, and I have a lot to talk about when it comes to topics such as autism service providers and various other related things. I also like to make stop motion videos with matchbox cars and action figures. I have a YouTube channel that I upload my stop motion videos to and occasionally talk about the things I've gone through in my life related to my autism diagnosis. I have had many issues with certain autism service providers, and I have had the misfortune of being betrayed by some of them. I'm on the Autism Waiver in the area that I live in, but I have had a very poor experience with it. It's a long story and I finally felt that I had to talk about it. I recently spent somewhere around two hours recording a video of my thoughts on some of my experiences related to Autism, some of the service providers, and some other things. I don't know if uploading that video to YouTube was a mistake or not, but I had a lot to say and I couldn't hold back my feelings on the matter any longer. I also hope it somehow helps others who may be going through some of the same things I went through so maybe they won't have to suffer as much as I did. I just don't know if I did any good with it. It's essentially my first attempt at an autism discussion video. I want to share it with you, but I feel like I should ask for permission to share it because I personally feel like it could be somewhat controversial. I talk about how autism is treated in schools and how I feel about autism services and my concerns about mental health in general. My best guess is it would probably belong in the politics section, but I just want to be sure.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Greetings from South Australia. (I'm not the weird one, it's the rest of the world :) )

I want to share it with you, but I feel like I should ask for permission to share it because I personally feel like it could be somewhat controversial.
If you feel awkward about that then use the search button at the top right of the page to search a few topics that interest you and see if you can get a feel for what's acceptable and what's not. The moderators are fairly strict on posts involving politics or anything that's likely to be controversial and divisive, and that keeps the place friendly and peaceful and safe for everyone.

Nearly all of us here are autistic so you'll probably find a lot of stories you can relate to.

Welcome. I provided support coordination for people with developmental disabilities for over 20 years. In my state it was a constant battle to get needed services approved.
