Hello, my name is Shonda. My 9 year old son has been diagnosed with high functioning aspergers, anxiety and adhd. When going through the process of having him tested I realized that I more than likely have high functioning aspergers as well. I have been diagnosed with anxiety and ocd when I was 17 years old but never for being on the spectrum. I was always told that I was just shy and very clumbsy. I never really fit in any situation and it would be almost painful to be in crowds. Now that I am going through this with my oldest son I am so thankful for the help that is out there for him. I am looking for support for both of us and I am hoping that this site is what I am looking for.

Hi Shonda! Welcome to Aspies Central. This site is definitely an ideal place for support because everyone here is so friendly and helpful. We're always there for one another; in fact, I like to call this forum a close-knit family. On that note, please feel free to post anything that's on your mind and converse with us.
