Yes he was brilliant in some areas, but he didn't do any research about sex, and most of his theories on it especially concerning women, were disproved by research such as that of Masters and Johnson years ago.

I actually really appreciate nice men. I appreciate them because they’re so obviously full of bleep. When a man opens doors for me and is excessively polite and attentive, I know right away for sure that he’s an opportunistic jerk, whereas otherwise it may not become apparent until after one becomes a divorced single mother. So I say, thank goodness for “nice” men. If only all men were so transparent.
