Hello, I'm Douglas MacNeill.

I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I learned about AspiesCentral only today, so I'm new as can be to this community.
I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome in September of 1997--two months before I convocated for my Master of Arts
degree in Sociology from the University of Alberta.

My interests: I play online chess regularly on Redhotpawn.com and letsplaychess.com. I enjoy surfing the Internet; I post
fairly regularly on wrongplanet.net, intjforum.com (INTJ is my Myers-Briggs personality type), and personality cafe. I'm in my fifth
year as a singer in a choir (my singing voice is second tenor or melody tenor, as opposed to first tenor or high tenor). In
grade school, in played clarinet for six years (grades 5-10) followed by bass clarinet for two more years (grades 11 and 12).

I currently work as a sessional instructor at the U of A, in its academic Department of Occupational Therapy within the
Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine. By "academic", I mean that the U of A has a full-scale hospital with its own Occupational
Therapy section.

I turn 48 on April 17 of this year, God willing. I wonder if there are other adult Aspies from Canada, or especially from the Greater
Edmonton Area, who post regularly here. That said, I welcome replies from anyone who wishes to respond.

Welcome to AC, Douglas.

I'm from Canada, but nowhere near Edmonton. There are a few other Canadian posters, but I'm the most active. :D

Hi Douglas. I'm another INTJ and used to post on INTJforum too. I'm not from Canada but would like to go there someday.

Welcome.

I am from Chicago (not Canada) but I would love to visit Canada again. Teaching my daughter who is six to play Chess with a game that has a diagram of how the pieces should move on them. Lots of fun and she is real smart. Glad you are here. I look forward to your posts.

Thanks
Bill
