My name is Ezra and I recently found out I have aspergers. Not official yet but all of the signs are there and what I was diagnosed with seem minor by themselves but as a whole well that is how my therapist saw autism or aspergers to be exact. Anyways he wanted me to try to find a group to be apart of to learn more. So here I am. I am 37 years old and it feels like the light was turned on finally. Anyways um hello

That's how many of us describe finding out about our own Asperger's, like turning on a light switch. There's a mix group of diagnosed, self-diagnosed, and friends and families of Aspies here. We're quite a friendly bunch, so feel free to look around, and ask questions. I also recommend checking out our resources section for recommendations for books.

It is kind of wild to be able to put it all (or most of it) together at one point in time after a lifetime of social bewilderment. Welcome to AC.
 
Thank you. I am glad to finally know that I am not weird or abnormal. All my life I knew I was different but did not like people trying to get inside my head. Last year however I began seeing a therapist and well after almost a year I am glad I did. Last year though I had some times where I wanted to end my life but now I am working on an awesome relationship with an awesome lady and learning a lot about myself
