I am glad to be here and I have finally went ahead and registered myself here. I have known about Aspie Central for awhile and have now build up the courage to sign up. The reason for this, I have self diagnosed myself as to thinking that I have AS. My brother has it and I am thinking that I have it as well. I know that not many women have AS but there are some out there that do. And if I do have AS, I will not be ashame and I will learn to deal with it. I do have some information on AS and it does not hurt to find out more. This is why I am here and I am looking forward to getting to know you all.;)

Hi Ciara! Welcome to Aspies Central. I'm glad you are feeling proud of who you are. Having AS is nothing to be ashamed of. Sure, there may be some difficulties associated with it that impact our lives, but they are not as difficult if we don't stress out about the bad things and focus more on the good qualities we have. And yes, it never hurts to find out more info related to AS - I still look forward to learning more and more about it as new discoveries and milestones are being made for the condition. That's one of the many reasons I enjoy this forum so much - I am always learning something new everyday through my interactions and conversations with others on here.
