I have trouble posting on forums without a designated topic. Much of the time I'll scroll over a tab but not end up commenting. I have this problem with small talk too. Sometimes my cat keeps me from typing.

I go for a formula with what you call Smalltalk ,I say how is your ! in my case usually dad or mam ,people want to talk about themselves ,if you let them talk about themselves it will be fine !but if you just talk about yourself the whole time they will just cut off.
I think it is fairly obvious to people that I do not talk in a natural way -I just stop !but like a lot of autistic people I give too much information .

There is the term in Christian psychology get out of your head into your heart .
Do you mean you don't want to start a new thread or you lack confidence commenting on what somebody else has posted in a thread ?
