Has anyone else seen/experiences this?

I talk out loud to myself all of the time. I've always done it.

I also talks to the cats. They seem to like it and talk back to me.

And I sing :D

My husband is always astounded at my recall of countless songs. I have a 'song of the day' in my head. Often it's a song I don't particularly like, but it goes round and round in a loop so to cope with this, I sing it out loud and talk out loud too (in the hope the song will go away)

Today's song is Rhinestone Cowboy, Glen Campbell. Complete recall of all the words. I wish it would clear off as it's driving me mad!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just thinking about this the last time I watched "American Idol". Where competitors are expected to automatically know all those lyrics- or else! And to see the judges all mouthing lyrics to so many songs I've never heard of.

Neurologically it also reminds me of the difference between how the human mind processes words and lyrics as opposed to speech. Where singers like Mel Tillis stutter trying to speak, yet can sing with lyrics ever so gracefully.

The human mind...an amazing thing at times!
