I've been messing with resin alot this past year, so my son got me a 3d resin printer for Christmas. I've been afraid to mess with it, but finally today I set it up and currently working on a test print.

Another thing I've been doing is I got an Oculus Quest 2 and use it when I ride my exercise bike and it's like I'm riding my bike through Utah or Montana, or where ever I want to be. The Oculus makes such a difference. When I'd just get on the bike and peddle I'd get bored within 5 minutes and would have to make myself continue at least 10. But when I'm wearing the Oculus headset and riding through somewhere I want to be I'll be on it over an hour and not even realize that much time has gone by.

Recent 3d printed items I bought for my machinetools.
The item on the right is a spindle gear lock for one of my metal cutting lathes.
The compound gear set is called a transposing gear.
It revises the gear ratio between the Imperial measure leadscrew and the drive spindle to interpolate metric thread pitches.
While the final ratio isn't an exact, it will still hold the thread pitch tolerance to within .002 inches over a one foot length.

The plastic is tough, but won't exhibit the same wear properties of an iron set, but the tradeoff is in the price.
It was under $30 shipped as opposed to the nearly $400 for a new cast iron set that would still have to be revised.

We live in some technologically amazing times, don't you agree?

When I put my recumbent trike on a trainer I prefer watching programs like Midnight Diner, Tokyo Stories, After Life, or Boardwalk Empire. Last year went through GOT and Westworld.

When it comes to the Oculus, just be careful that you dont do overly long sessions with it. The weight of the thing on your head can cause compression in your neck, and that can cause Unpleasant Things. Go too far with it and you’re guaranteed to regret it.

As much fun as the Oculus is, like all VR devices it comes with risks, so always keep that in mind.

It was bizarre to see 3 or 4 3d printers in a suburban house in England making ppe but it helped knowing there was none at all in hospitals

I wish I could afford a 3D printer. There’s so many things that I’d make from fashion doll shoes and accessories to jewelry.

Yes, you quickly learn your limits. Like playing a game, my time is very limited because too much movement can cause motion sickness.

I might copy you on that oculus thing. ;)
My son that lives upstairs checked it out. When he got off he went upstairs and told his wife he was running to Walmart and he came back with one. lol Now he has a 360 camera so his last trip to Utah he made some 360 recording and I'm anxious for him to put them on Youtube. He did a short one and I loved watching it on the oculus. But he's not bicycling, he's in his jeep climbing rocks and stuff. :)

I recommend looking for an online craft store and going to their jewellery making section see if they have how to videos it looked especially satisfying to incase various things in clear acrylic
