Good news!

Not having delusional beliefs can be quite handy. Now if we can get society as a whole, and politicians particularly, to drop their delusional beliefs!

That would require people to accept another person's life experience, knowledge, and perspective, which may be quite different from their own. That would require people to not allow their cognitive biases getting in the way of their learning. That would require people reject censorship in all its forms. That would require people to be able to open a dialogue without being triggered emotionally. No "safe spaces" or "trigger warnings" allowed. Anything short of that and we are being foolishly complacent in accepting lies.

Finding the truth requires an open mind, acceptance, self-discipline, and emotional discipline. Delusional beliefs often are a result of living in an information bubble, embracing conformational bias, and feelings of "safety".
