i learned to control my rage attacks by building up my rage while punching punching bags, and then stopping when the instructor said stop. so i wondered if aspies who slam their heads against the wall can learn to control that urge by tapping the noise that made them frustrated, or thinking about what made them frustrated, and then slamming their heads against soft padded back of the sofa or pillows, harder and harder, and then stopping when someone says to stop.
is this good advice or can it be dangerous?
i get this urge to slam my head against the wall sometimes but usually resist it, and even when i do not hard enough to cause damage. i bite my wrist sometimes. we have a low tolerance for frustration.
