If they had their way, I would have zero personal, emotional, physical and sexual boundaries today.

Forget the whole lot of them.

I hate everything they stand for.

I am not going to take part in their willing cycle of generational trauma any longer.
 
What changes in your behavior will that involve?
What will you do (and not do)?
 
You need to finally make the tough decision to distance yourself from them. Permanently.

Otherwise their toxicity will always find its way into your heart and mind.
 
Here's the question though: What are you going to DO about it?

You seem to go through this cycle every now and then of denouncing them, saying you've had enough, and then just... going back to putting up with it.

You already know that THEY arent going to put a stop to the cycle. They'll keep having a go at you for as long as they can.

So, YOU have to be the one to stop it. Nobody else is going to flip that switch.

But until you actually DO something, like REALLY do it (and dont later go back and undo it), this is just going to keep going.

You have the strength to truly stand up for yourself.

Oh, I am definitely burning some bridges now. My therapist suggested a protective order. I am pursuing that.
 
Well, a protection order is in the works now. My mother's prior behavior is well recorded. And if she tries to play the card that I'm crazy, I have a doctor and a certified therapist on my side.

Wow. This is a serious step toward something you have needed for a long time. Well done getting some support behind you as you go forward.
