Good point, Richelle.Just a tip from a retired programmer, you can adjust the time required between clicks. As it comes set to a default on most computers, in the settings there should be an entry for the mouse and if you click on it, there will be some additional areas. In windows there will be additional settings, and opening that will be a slider for adjusting the double-click speed. This will allow you to play around and allow you to find the best setting for your click speed.
There will also be settings for how fast your cursor moves across the screen with your mouse movement.
Sorry for intruding if this is of little use to you.
I always excelled at this type of fine motor control, I'm far more dexterous than most.Does anyone else have significant difficulty with performing the computer mouse double-click?
