Favorite TV Commercials

One commercial I love is for Compare the Market.com which features Russian accented Meerkat puppets. ie "Compare the Meerkat" is the way a Russian person would say "Compare the Market".
There have been a series of these adverts running here in the UK for the past 2 or 3 years and they are hugely popular with TV viewers.

Currently the Geico ad with the basketball player. Oh my god his happiness is so contagious when I see that ad on the gym TVs when I'm working out...

Two car adverts by Honda really interested me:

The Cog: (Took 606 attempts to get this right)

Impossible Dream: (Love this song)

This one's not a typical TV ad, but I'm sure it's a marketing set up (these seemingly spontaneous ads are a common practise for agencies now).

A trailer for Discovery network in the early 2000s. YouTube "Ahh the atmosphere". I can't get youtube here but have seen it on other people's connections.

And one from the late 80s for I think Toro snowblowers. They show cars trying to get through this 10 foot wall of snow left by the snowplow. A Dodge Caravan I think peels out and hits it with a thud. Then something else. Then I think a Lincoln Town Car balanced and teetering on top of the pile just spinning its wheels. Then they talk some more about the snowblower and say "the only problem now...is getting out of your driveway to go buy one" and they show I think a Dodge Aries in slow motion launching and flying through the snowbank with chunks going everywhere.

Then this other one from the 80s or 90s for light bulbs. An old couple, eating dinner, the woman says "the magic's gone.... the moment the lights go out...you fall asleep". Bulb burns out. Can't see anything but the guy immediately slumps over and you can hear him snoring in his soup.
