Favorite Music Time Period?

I'm all over the place, I definitely have favorite songs/artists from all of those time periods, but my absolute favorites would probably be the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. I feel like music started going downhill somewhere around the 2010s and now it kind of all sounds the same, so I have to go out of my way to look for more eccentric music.

60s. Then the 70s...and lastly the 80s.

Comfort music....those four lads from Liverpool. Classic rock n roll...

The 70s and 80s were a huge era for Aussie music but it started dwindling in the 90s. Many of our popular artists back then were better live than they were on tape and live music was what everyone went for for entertainment.

AC/DC back when Angus really was young:

The Black Sorrows:

The Divinyls:

Men At Work:

Midnight Oil:

And of course - Cold Chisel:

It was a huge time for indigenous musicians as well:

Just to name a few...

1925 to 1950. The invention of electrical recording coincided with the new music of the 1920s, then of course there's new genres getting ready all through the Thirties and Forties. After WWII you have that last bit of old-fashioned popular music and then let's stop before rock hits the scene.

Take a portable gramophone and a nice walk outside, put on Cole Porter in a clearing in the woods, and you're doing fine. It's 1937 again. The world is on the uneasy brink of disaster but the birds are singing and you remembered to put water in your Thermos this time for tea. The sun will go down soon and it's getting chilly but you have time for a few more records before you have to leave. Don't you?

The Beatles were my first music loves.
Music overall though would the 70's, some from the 90's, all of the 80's rock.
