Excessively long/complicated PINs/passwords?

Misfate

An isolated cloud in the sky
So I've noticed that I have a habit of being overly-secure with passwords and PINs. My tablet has a 16 numbet PIN (which would have been 32 if the limit wasn't 18) and my internet passwords range from 14 to 64 characters, in a combination of words and numbers converted to 1337 (e.g. abc+123 = a1b2c3 = @162c3). Can anybody else relate to this?

I tend to have a specific visual patterns of random characters and a phrase, up to 20 or so. I just remember the way it looks usually, and have trouble if I'm going between PC and mobile or such.

For my long passwords, I tend to break them down into chunks of 7-9 characters to help me remember them.

I have passwords at home - computer, phone, security system, storage facility. I have passwords at work - computer (several) and medicine cabinet (thank God for my fingerprint to clock in ). Then there's the bank, too, and the Roku, Amazon, QVC, and the list goes on..........(How is one to remember all of that?!)

Let's just say that I don't want anyone to get my phone (if you know what I mean?) ;)

My security paranoia does not permit me to discuss my password habits. But I will say I am highly frustrated with sites that have an eight character limit with numbers and letters only and they are government sites of all things! Ya think they'd be a bit more up-to-date on password security than a random art posting site that requires uppercase, lowercase, number, special character, and minimum of eight characters.
