Don't know how I will manage since she left

I have been paired with some one for a long while and now that I am just myself again, I feel odd, like there is something missing.

Of course you feel "odd" at this point. Your life on a daily basis has just drastically changed. (Change is a dirty word for many of us, myself included.)

However you need to tell yourself that you don't require another person to define who you are. That's the point. Yes, things have changed. But it in no way diminishes who you are.

Having been through separation and divorce, it appears you are going through a crazy "off the wall" emotional storm. Learn to drop anchor and not struggle with your emotions and thoughts. There is part of you that is indestructible that will get you through this. As you heal this emotional wound, you will regain your strength and will be able to explore the world again. As the Buddhists correctly exalt, suffering exists, and expecting things to remain the same leads to suffering.
