does this quote sit with you? do you agree with it?

The Golden Rule has always bothered me, and this article agreed. The Golden Rule asks we treat others as we would like to be treated. But many people are going to want something different from what I want. So if I give distance to someone hurting, because that is what I would want...well, you see where that is going. It's the first time in writing I have ever heard of someone disagreeing with the Golden Rule in the same manner as I.
I haven't thought about it with regards to "The Golden Rule", but yes, you put it well... makes perfect sense.

This is why the topic of telepathy intrigues me so much. Like I have said on the forums before, I don't particularly like my reality that I have been with my wife for 40 years, or so, and still find daily life with her a bit of a mystery. We are not on the same wavelength and often times I find words to be of such low bandwidth... it's time consuming, cumbersome, and even then, sometimes the words don't come out right. As opposed to being able to truly have that mind-to-mind connection where we can communicate through meaning.

One thing that I have learned is that telepathy, as practiced by our non-speaking, apraxic, autistic brothers and sisters... is not voyeuristic nor intrusive. Those frequencies are open when both minds are open... not one. If you are thinking of me at the same time I am thinking of you... those channels are open to send and receive. I wish I had that with my wife... it would make both our lives much easier at times.

I don't know...don't really agree that all knowledge is built on Nothing. There are all kind of knowing...including knowledge that is gained by making mistakes. It's kind of up to us how and where we get our knowledge, and what type of Nothing it is built on.
dadko20 was referring specifically to those of us with autism, and the context seemed to indicate (at least to me) social interactions. Nearly all of my knowledge is built on solid foundations, except social interactions. For that, my knowledge is built on a foundation consisting of a house of cards, and it collapses regularly. I keep making mistakes, try to use what I have learned, but it doesn't work. Things seem to change regularly, and what I learned no longer applies.

I saw nothing in the quote to indicate it meant ALL knowledge.

"as a autists its like having a blind brain (not literally) making mistakes over and over again till it adapts learns from its past mistakes becomes stronger (wiser) and moves on in a better way than ever before"
No. I stop making old errors, but have never found better ways.
