Hi I'm missing like minded people in my life and I know I'm not alone. I'm glad I have decided I don't need to be alone in this world anymore

Welcome to our forum :)
you will find many like you here and should fit right in ;)

Thank u everyone for making me feel welcome. I hope to make some real true connections as I'm so alone and misunderstood. Sorry to whinge. I'm glad I'm not alone in my journey snymore

I have just ordered a copy if aspergirls online. I need to gain control as I am struggling to raise my two aspergers daughters to. Reaching out is very difficult for me but I think I'm onto a really good thing here. I hope I can be a good friend to everyone on here to

Well, you are no longer alone, at least. As to how much it will help you, only you can determine.

However, when you post about your seemingly odd thoughts, unexpected reactions from others, frustrations with the world, and just general questions and concerns, you are sure to get a good number of folks who respond with "I know, I feel the same way!" or "Yes, that happened to me just last week!", along with the others who say "No, that's never happened to me, but this other thing has" and then go on to share their experiences.

At least what you will come away with is "There's nothing wrong with ME, my brain just works differently than a lot of people"

I noticed your profile mentions you're living in Australia. I'm from Brisbane myself. I know it's a long way from you, but if you do find yourself wanting to find someone to talk to, there is a really good psychotherapist living just north of Brisbane. She is merely for someone to talk to, but she herself is a diagnosed Aspie, and the only specialist in Australia who is diagnosed on the spectrum, so it may be of interest to you. She also holds various retreats around Australia for women on the spectrum, from time to time. I believe her last retreat was in Melbourne.

Thanks so much for that link. I appreciate everything as I have no support at the moment. I have booked in to see my doc tomorrow though so I can start the process of a real diagnosis. It's overdue.

Let us know how it goes :)

I will thanks so much I'm happy I have found some true friends. Last year I went through the process with both my daughters. It's been rough but I'm tough.
