Does anyone agree with me that autism/Asperger's is...

This does make sence, but not for everyone. I've always thought drugs magnify your normsl actions anyway and make them more extreme. I've done weed a few times but i can say now that i hate doing it, it effects me different to NT's. Nt's just feel relaxed and giggly for me it does the oposite, i'm always on edge, i become even more distant and reserved and i feel like i'm going to die. I want to put it down to my hyposensitivity cause its like i can feel my insides moving and making sounds 10x more than normal. If i eat something i can feel it going through my body and processing it and its just so friggin WEIRED. I dont understand how people can be so chilled and i can be so WTF.

... sort of like being high?

If you ask me, autism is the equivalent of being high on a drug. The lower functioning you are, the more "drugged up" you are. There are drugs out there like cocaine/crack which, in high enough doses, make people act autistic-like. Some people who take high enough doses of cocaine actually display stim-like movements.

I sometimes doubt that people with "classic" autism are even retarded in the literal sense; I honestly think they're just too "high" on themselves. They're able to achieve great feats while "high", just like a musician can write brilliant songs while literally high on drugs, but can't function well at most other tasks due to being high.

I've done certain drugs where my Asperger's symptoms were magnified which made me think "Holy **** - being high on this drug is just like having a "dose" of Asperger's.".

Anyone else feel the way I do? I'm sure some people won't like me comparing autism to drug-induced effects, but I honestly believe that whatever causes autism affects the same part(s) of the brain as some of the more popular narcotics.
