Do you like driving?

I love driving. It just makes me feel free. I could get in then go anywhere in the country, on my own or with whoever, I love it.

Cars might not be ruining the environment in the not too distant future, too... :P

Do you have your license? If so, do you like driving?

I got my license when I was sixteen, but I've hardly driven since turning 18. I despise cars for a host of reasons, a couple being that they mess up the environment and kill a high amount of people in extremely inhumane ways.

Driving is very stressful for me and I don't enjoy any minute of my time spent behind the wheel. I know some people love driving, and that's fine, but I view cars as being what they are: A means of transportation which allow us to travel to our destination.

In my ideal world humans would be able to warp to their destination.

Well, I'm sorry to hear it stresses you so much. And that cars in themselves bother you. I really used to enjoy driving until I had about 7 accidents ina short span lol. But I used to drive really aggressively and with no concern for anyone on the road until like the last 2 years. I got more careful and was driving much slower just to be able to react better to sudden things going on that I wouldn't be able to at full speed. But yet I just had my worst accident in my life the beginning of september and it totally ruined everything. I have still not recovered from the physical, emotional, and mental trauma from it. All because some idiot stopped suddenly in front of me and didn't put their signal on until the last second. And all it takes is someone else's negligence and your life can be made even worse. I haven't sat in the driver's side of a car since then and even though I got back most of the money from my totalled brand new car, I still don't plan on driving again anytime in the near future...

My dad's organising driving lessons for me before Christmas...I'm not dreading them, but I will stay forever faithful to my bike! No Dutch person would turn their backs on it...for a car. Lovely false pride. Anyway. I'm terribly uncoordinated, but I can play badminton so I might be able to drive all right. I doubt I'll be properly driving until I'm out of uni, even though I could get the car quite often because it hardly ever gets used. My mum's had her fair share of accidents and hates driving, and my dad commutes and takes the bike everywhere else.
My dad tried to teach me one summer, but I almost ran over my little cousin and was headed for the lake...

The only hard part for me is parallel parking (still don't know how I ever passed the test being totally unable to do this) and judging distances. I have very poor depth perception. Everything else is pretty easy. I just wish there was a self destruct button. No, not for my car, but for when I see an ass doing something really pathetic on the road to hit that button and even up the playing field :)
