is liking danger an aspie thing? in my twenties, i lived in dangerous neighborhood, but that's because i was poor. however, i often deliberately took second shifts so i can come home late from work, and walking down really, and i mean really mean street got my adrenaline up. i liked it. i dont do it anymore.
aspie thing, or do i need to have my head examined? i'm not normal either way.
do you like danger? participate in dangerous behavior? what kind?
I have lived a high risk life. I've raced motorcycles and snowmobiles. I have also been involved in dangerous off road situations. All this is compounded by the fact that I am very clumsy and devoid of any athletic talent. Maybe it is a Aspie thing, I do enjoy the adrenaline rush. However, none of this is as dangerous as just living in the part of the world that you do. Take care !

[QUOTE="alien girl,

You are braver than me I wouldn't go out at night like that without a conceald weapons permit, where I live (Ranch country) guns are no big deal we shoot ground squirels, (like a prarie dogs), mostly, or lunch (deer), (not me). Was thinking on getting a russian nagant revolver would have to do own amo tho, a very odd gun.
I like to push the car thing not so much on the speed thing, more how close I can get to the edge of control on corners. I am real good at recovering slides on ice and stuff. It is strange tho when I do it everything gets real quiet, kind of like I am standing out side my self watching, like I'm at a pleasent picknick. Wierd?

I'm not to sure whether I like danger as such.

When I was young I couldn't sense danger in certain circumstances. I would jump from high up window and I once jumped off a bridge because when I was ay the bottom looking up, it didn't seem that high. It was!

I've not injured myself too much, but that's probably because I didn't see the danger.

I also used to go off with strangers a lot when I was a child. This did lead me into all kinds of situations. But again I was oblivious to the danger that I was putting myself into.

These days, the most dangerous thing I do is go out on my mountain bike during rush hour. I love it. It definitely is an adrenalin thing, and it has landed me in casualty a couple of times.

No, not at all.

I don't personally want any of the following:
1. Exposure or vulnerability to harm or risk.
2. A source or an instance of risk or peril.
3. Obsolete Power, especially power to harm.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/danger

None of that sounds like fun.
I don't want to be hurt and I don't want to
hurt anyone else.

Vicarious danger, like in movies or books, is
ok, if the story is good. I don't watch splatter.
Silly Sharknado type stuff is funny, once in
awhile, though.

NO, I don't even enjoy amusement park rides other than the merry go round or the bumper cars. I do have pretty bad acrophobia.

When I was younger, I was a risk take. There is nothing like high speed or flying through the air. The exhilaration is great. I do realize that you can not be doing things like this on public roads where you could hurt someone. For me, it was always a dirt bike or snowmobile on a closed course or mountain trail. Now days, old age has set in and I do not own anything fun that can hurt me. Wife's orders.

No, I don't like danger. I like some amusement park rides, but the danger isn't real because they are safe. I avoid real, serious danger.

My intention is to arrive at the great beyond, banged up,beaten down and used up with a huge smile on my face proclaiming what a ride it's been!

I live for adrenaline rushes :D

No, I care too much about self preservation to deliberately expose myself to danger.

The most dangerous thing I do is ride a motorcycle and aside from that I'm probably the biggest wuss you'll ever meet.
I avoid danger and any possible chance to get hurt or feel pain in any shape or form as much as I can.

Adrenaline feels weird, I don't like it. Makes me feel out of control and when I'm not in control I get anxious. It makes you act out of instinct instead of rationally and that usually makes things worse. I won't ride any theme park rides and once had to walk home because I refused to drive back with a guy after asking him to drive sanely multiple times on the way there, to which he didn't comply. I wouldn't climb a mountain or bungee jump even if I got paid for it and I really love stationary planes, with the emphasis on stationary.

Give me nice and calm and safe any day of the week
