I have no desire to take the test; I already have an idea of my likely results. All that nonsense was once used in eugenics. There’s no need anymore to feel inferior in someone’s eyes over something I never chose. I’ve come to realize that I am genetically questionable material.Think of IQ tests as a sort of puzzle Olympics. Those who do well actually like puzzles, even if we are better at some more than others. It is not pass/fail. Assessing your intellectual strengths & weaknesses just helps teachers & counselors to better speak to your needs.

I never had that experience with any single psychological test. Unlike many forum members, I didn't learn anything from psychological diagnosis. Some of the results were even false, as it turned out later.leading to more realistic expectations for oneself. Even we in Mensa get a better sense of our limitations.

Cognitive abilities are one of the factors that impact how life unfolds. There are many others too such as health, socioeconomic background, getting married and having children...I think that much is certainly a reality for most persons. And that in as much as it impacts abilities one has, it can also impact one based on how others may perceive them. Even if and when such a conclusion may be incorrect in whole or in part.
