Has anyone heard of Karla McLaren? I stumbled across some of her articles on autism, and she seems to "get it" a whole lot more than most authors I read, except maybe Tony Attwood.

Anyway, here's one of her articles on communicating with aspies (uses the context of teaching children, but I think it's insightful for anyone trying to communicate with aspies, like a therapist or a doctor):

Those were awesome, thanks!! Just sent the links to my therapist, an NT who still maintains that Aspies have no empathy....we've gotten into some real debates about that one...
