Common Australian Birds

They can be pretty nasty but fortunately we don't see them that often in parks, councils regularly mow the lawns and the nests get mowed as well.
The ground.. Not safe. Even though they have their reasons, they really need to learn to build their nests elsewhere or something, so they don't fall victim to lawn maintenance every single time.

Airports and industrial estates. In these places the grass only gets mowed once or twice a year and they let the Plovers as they're known here have their nesting season. They're another animal that has proliferated well in cities.
