Wow. Having finished my Eight O'Clock bag of coffee I went back to purchasing a trusty bag of Dunkin' Donuts coffee. Yet after only two cups, have retired that fresh bag of coffee I used to enjoy.

It's awful! Worse in fact to be able to compare an older bad of their decaffeinated version which is still quite tasty. Was I imagining this? Apparently not.

"Yes, there are reports from customers suggesting that Dunkin' has changed the brew of their original iced coffee, with some noting it tastes more bitter or stronger than before. However, Dunkin' has not officially confirmed these changes."

In this day and age long after Coca Cola's fiasco in changing their most basic formula, you'd think everyone in food and beverages would have learned something similar.

Maybe they had to source new beans from some place cheaper than Brazil which caused the flavor change?

Yes, I was kind of wondering about the timing of it all. But damn, this wasn't a subtle change.

I found it terrible. No more smooth, mellow coffee flavor.

But as always, I appreciate your input. I occasionally need to make sure I'm not hallucinating anything...lol.

Trump recently did a deal with Indonesia, is your coffee coming from there now? Indonesia grows a lot of coffee but not the Arabica beans so Aussies won't drink it.

We're suffering with extraordinarily high coffee prices here too and it's difficult to understand why. The US put a 50% tariff on Brazil which means Brazillian coffee is now incredibly expensive in the US, I expected that to mean that Brazil would be trying to expand it's other markets and coffee would get cheaper here, but things didn't work out that way. Aussies only drink Brazillian coffee.

Been drinking coffee for a long time…I think my folks didn’t have it in them to fighy four kids about wanting to try the stuff they always had lol. Even so, habits have changed quite a bit since then.

In trying to change my diet for the better, well, trying to cut out carbs as well as sugar, have dropped soda entirely except for the rare occasions like birthday parties or getting fast food, same for alcohol which I used to drink pretty heavily, and haven’t had sugar in most coffee for years. Now, going to Dunkin’s is a different story, because yet again it’s another rare treat and I like my frozen coffee or mocha lattes, but at home much if the time it’s pretty simple dark or medium roast with just a little bit of cream - especially compared to my youngest sister who seems crazy to me when she’s taken the entire bowl of creamer for herself at restaurants. My mother and I kind if side eye her and ask ourselves if she’d like any coffee with her creamer.

Lately it’s come to my attention that apparently I ought to even lay off the coffee a bit for kidney stone reasons, but it’s a bit of a bummer because I feel I’ve already been pretty limited in what I drink otherwise - just water, tea, and seltzer. Been told to avoid the last one as well, even though to my knowledge it’s got basically nothing in it I have to avoid specifically, and I already did not have a lot of since it tends to make me feel gassy and bloated. Flavored water or tea aren’t my thing either. Coffee I pretty much have to have in the morning but also love to have before bed to feel more relaxed and mellow out, so now I kind of have to decide ahead of time.

For every cup
1. Remove freshly roasted beans from excluded air container And grind them with a burr grinder.
2. Tightly pack the espresso cup holder with two shots.
3. Mount the shot handle cup tightly into the espresso machine.
4. Express the coffee within one minute of grinding the beans.
5. froth the milk of your choice to the temperature that you prefer.
done

Note. Be sure when the coffee is expressed that you don’t overdo it. This can make the coffee bitter and spoil the flavour. Stop expressing when you get little white marks on the crema.

I’m very particular about my coffee. Some cafes serve substandard coffees in my opinion. The worst offender without a doubt is Starbucks.
