Christmas Rescue of Autistic Child

Yet ANOTHER Central Florida autistic child disappeared and wandered into a pond. THIS time, he was tracked and rescued and was only wet and cold. This child is a "repeat customer" who has been rescued from the water before. Rescuers were able to track him because of an "Angel Sense" tracking device his parents obtained after he was rescued from a pond in August of 2024.

Nice to see one turn out well - especially on Christmas.

Edit: According to the website for the tracking device, the device itself is currently free, but there is a monthly fee.

Hopefully he will stay away from the water now. It seems like there are constant situations like this in the news except that sadly many of them don't have the happy ending.

Please do not blame the parents or caregivers here. It is an impossible situation. You don’t want to lock the child up. A tracking device could be the safest and least restrictive option.

I was one of those that used to wander and go exploring when I was very small. Mum had the whole town out searching for me a couple of times. Back then we lived in a little country town on the banks of the Murray River but all of us were taught to swim literally before we were old enough to walk. Drowning was the one fear Mum didn't have for me.

These days we have far too many drownings, thanks mostly to a lack of education. People like the mother and son in this story are classic examples - they wanted to try out the paddleboards they got for Christmas regardless of the weather conditions.

Looking at the company's website, it appears to be a bracelet that the child can't remove.
