British Comedy

Wondering how many of you have seen any of the British comedy shows?

Our humour can be a bit dry, sarcastic, rude... But its bloody hilarious!

If you have one you like, please share!

I'll start with the brilliant Only Fools and Horses

Blackadder has always been a favourite of mine, although I do find the first series sub-par with the series that followed.

Agree! I have the boxset and am not keen on the first series... the rest though are genius!

"a plan so cunning, you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel" lol

Yeah, that was a great line. :D
Here's a few others I enjoy watching. :)

1. Phoenix Nights
2. Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere
3. Dad's Army
4. Porridge
5. Open All Hours
6. On The Buses
7. My Hero
8. The Two Ronnies
9. Red Dwarf

Yes, I've seen a few:

Monty Python
Doctor In The House
Are You Being Served?
Red Dwarf
Mr. Bean
Benny Hill

Comedy in the 70s and 80s was class!

Stuff like...

Fawlty Towers
On The Buses
Bread
Hi De Hi
Duty Free
Are You Being Served?
Porridge
The Two Ronnies
Goodnight Sweetheart

my favourites are the inbetweeners and the IT crowd.
i love the toilet humour of the inbetweeners, thats my kind of humour and i like the fact the IT crowd is about a bunch of computer geeks with one being obviously on the spectrum.

i do like some american comedy to-i have one favourite programme;the goldbergs.
it reminds me of the wonder years, which was on when i was a kid.

Mrs Brown's Boys! One of THE best comedies in recent years IMO.
if im bored and theres nothing worth watching on ill watch that, but i find it to false and obviously fake.
i also know it caused a bit of friction in the irish community to because they felt it stereotyped them to much and wasnt a good reputation of ireland.

another comedy i like is i'm alan partridge, anyone else like it?
its more subtle humour so its harder to get into for me,but it get very funny and ive got every episode ever made,i didnt like the film though.

I couldn't get into Mrs Browns Boys.

I don't find Alan Partridge particularly funny either.

What about The Mighty Boosh? I love that one!

ive never seen the mighty boosh,i didnt understand the humour whenever i saw it advertised so i never bothered watching it.

did you like black books?
it seems like the same sort of comedy but i may be wrong.

You know, I've never watched it but I've always meant to... I'll find it, watch it and get back to you on that!

I used to be obsessed with Dad's Army when I was younger, but also liked On the Buses, It Ain't Half Hot Mum, Open All Hours, Porridge, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, George & Mildred; also one with June Whitfield and Terry Scott, I can't remember the name of it. I have grown out of some of them now though.
Later ones include Last of the Summer Wine, 'Allo 'Allo.
I enjoy watching the Two Ronnies again, and liked Morecambe & Wise.

The one you're on about was simply called Terry and June.

On The Busses was a classic, just a shame that since Stephen "Blakey" Lewis died earlier this year, most of the original cast are dead now, apparently Anna "Olive" Karen's in Eastenders.

For many of us in the states, we wouldn't have access to much of this sort of programming without the Public Broadcasting System.
