Bad Eaters: The Picky, the Guilty, and the Otherwise

The only foods I am picky about and refuse to eat are:
Baby animals
Squirrels
Frog legs
Pineapple on pizza
Watermelon
Okra by itself

You do know pretty most all meat we regularly eat comes from baby animals, right?

I was a picky eater like a lot of people here, but have expanded my palette a lot since then. However, I have also always been a really slow eater. I'm not sure why. Maybe I chew my food more than others or have a slow mouth, but I am pretty much always the last one to leave the table after dinner (which gets frustrating for some).

ah. I've had an eating disorder for 30 years, and have divulged, with the help of my therapist, that this is stim eating. I stim eat like crazy. And for me, it's sensory avoidant. I eat to block out other more overwhelming things. I'm actually a pretty picky eater, I do not like condiments outside of hot sauce. I will only eat eggs if they are scrambled. I have a list of foods I will eat from. Eating is just a huge pain.

I meant veal and lamb. And I don’t quite understand what you mean....

I'm pretty sure pigs and chicken are slaughtered when they are still young (pigs also 3 months old, chickens younger), though I guess it depends on your definition. I often give comments without meaning anything by it and I'm often wrong as well, so don't take it personally.

Very picky. When I was very young, I couldn't leave the dinner table until I ate all my food. I'd still be there at 9pm! My Keeshond would assist sometimes.
Today, somewhat less picky. Diabetes was diagnosed two months ago which monkeywrenched my available diet. I love processed food :-(
Individual peculiarities- I like sauteed onions, can't stand crunchy ones. All manner of tomato products are fine, but dislike the tomato fruit greatly. Prefer smooth sauces, to chunky, by far.
Vegetables- spinach, corn, green beans (pretty much all beans ok), asparagus tips, brussel sprouts. Yellow vegetables are awful, never eat them BUT love pumpkin pie. Other oddities my brain refuses to fetch now.
Weird.

me i am picky about eating new foods but i think i getting better about not being so picky about eating new foods
