Autism specific employment service in Sheffield, England, UK?

There used to be one, but the company went under due to lack of funding as I recall.

I've just spoken to the Socials to see if I could get on their employment course, but apparently I'm not eligible because Asperger's apparently isn't a learning disability.

So anyway, I know all about Google, I use it all day every day, but would anyone know a good UK based Autism specific employment service? I am looking for work in, the NT world but not having much luck, I've applied to Dixon's Car Phone Warehouse twice now and failed the assessments and they're yet to get back to me from that interview in Town last week.

Though Asperger Syndrome is not a learning disability, many with Asperger Syndrome may also have other diagnoses as well, like ADD (or other things). Have you gone for testing to see if you have any other diagnoses? Sorry, I don't know of any resources there for you :-(

Contrary to popular belief I am NOT retarded or otherwise mentally incompetent, nor do I have other mental disabilities besides AS.

This lot have offered remote support to people in Sheffield:
AS Mentoring
We are very aware of the need for specialist support across the UK and further so we do work with clients remotely via Skype, phone-calls, email or a combination of all. If there is a need, staff can travel to other areas of the UK on an ad-hoc basis for Workplace Support and Coaching; this is something we'd be happy to discuss with you individually.

We have placed markers on the map ... to give you an idea where AS Mentoring clients are from. Markers outside of London, Surrey and Birmingham often indicate clients who we provide remote support for, or whom travel into where are team are working.
(Emphasis theirs)
