Do you love baseball...and want to support SpecialNeeds Awareness? Check out the July 28, 2024 Akron RubberDucks (Cleveland Guardians AA Affiliate) game vs. the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles AA Affiliate)...supporting Autism Awareness. A partnership among Wolff & Phan Autism Center, LLC, TravelingWiki (my Autism non-profit) & the Akron RubberDucks.
TravelingWiki (site at TravelingWiki.com: Wiki for Autism Resources at U.S. Airports (Video Content Now Available on YouTube; Media Interviews Published Internationally via Apple Podcasts; Now Hiring for the 2025 Internship Program)), my non-profit profiling Autism resources at US airports, has very quickly become the largest free internet-based site of its kind (including documenting resources at US airports for Autism, ALS, Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's and other non visible disabilities via TSA.gov - see Non-Visible Disabilities & Medical Conditions | Transportation Security Administration - and has been actively engaging with civic leaders (including The White House [Obama/Biden] & 9 current or recent US presidential candidates); 50+ media networks; multiple senators, the Former Deputy Asst. Secr. of the US Navy & Current President at South Carolina State University; multiple ambassadors; educational stakeholders; corporate leaders; and non-profit leaders. Especially as so much of the Autism community is non-verbal, this engagement has been especially meaningful. I do all of this work for free as a second job, on top of my daytime for profit work, to attempt to assist in the Special Needs community.
Thank you to everyone for considering this information. I am deeply passionate about this work to support the Special Needs Community.
Tickets are available at the following landing page, run by the Akron Rubber Ducks: Autism Awareness Day (To be clear, I have no financial stake in this; the goal is to promote Autism awareness among baseball lovers)
If you happen to live in the DC area (and are a Baysox fan), note that BWI (Baltimore/Washington Airport) - CLE (Cleveland Airport) fares have been appearing as low as $19/way - One airline just introduced $19 fares between BWI (Baltimore/Washington Airport) and CLE (Cleveland Airport), which could potentially make this affordable (if similar fares are in place around the time of the game). See, e.g., WTOP (A DC Area Journal) News at https://wtop.com/business-finance/2024/02/fro...-with-more-19-fares/ (to be clear, this is not necessarily relevant to travel for July 2024 - just noting the potential viability of this game for those who can access Ohio for the Autism awareness event(s))
Best Regards,
Jonathan
