Asperger's and other health problems

Topic.

Do you have any other major mental or physical health problems as well as being on the Autism spectrum? Me? I have spinal stenosis and I am also type 2 Diabetic.

Anyone else got similar issues?

Long term physical health issues: generally healthy, but have chronic sciatica and achilles tendonitis.
Mental health issues: Social anxiety, and SAD.

In addition to mental health issues such as OCD, dyslexia, and general anxiety...
I'm lactose intollerant, maybe it has to do with it or maybe not. I don't know. :D

I have hypothyroidism, reactive hypoglycemia and a severe sulphite intolerance that was made worse when I had hernia surgery and they pumped me full of antibiotics containing sulphites. I also have mitral valve prolapse. Other than that I'm healthy as a horse.

Along with level 2 autism, I also have severe dyspraxia which is similar to mild cerebral palsy. It affects my ability to do things with my hands and affects my walking and ability to talk.

Polymyositis (a rare autoimmune disease).

I've heard there's a hypothesized link between autism and autoimmune/leaky gut. I suspect my dad has Asperger's and depression and autoimmune disease runs in my mother's family.

I was also born 7 weeks premature with an underdeveloped liver and had to get an exchange transfusion to prevent bilirubin poisoning; another factor possibly contributing to my possible autism.

I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Episode along with Asperger's Syndrome. I have general anxiety, social anxiety (goes with the territory), hyperacusis, IBS. I was diagnosed with breast cancer almost 2 years ago, but since surgery I have been NED (no evidence of disease, or 'cancer free').

I have not been diagnosed with any mental co-morbids, but pretty sure depression is a factor in my life for a very long time. Feeling pretty good today, but how will I feel tomorrow...?

Physically I have type 2 Diabetes as well (so did my dad & my grandfather, so I probably had a genetic susceptibility to it) as well as 2 slipped disks in my back (which I think were aggravated from a bad reaction to metformin, but I can't prove that...).

My dad had spinal stenosis though.

I felt depressed last week.

Basically I was on a bit of a downer about still being single at 42, and having applied for 3 different jobs and not got them (meh, I knew I would get turned down for Morrison's but my course insisted I go for it) so I didn't (and still don't) feel very useful, I still often wonder "why am I here? What's my purpose on this Earth?".

I think a lot of people wonder that. I know I do as well (though I tend to believe I make my own definitions about what my purpose in life is).

Overweight was 325lb however I lost over 20lbs in about 3 weeks but I have been depressed for that long.
