Asperger United Magazine no longer to be printed...

Here in the U.K, the National Autistic Society has a free magazine called Asperger United - which is run by and for Autistic adults (with some parents getting it on behalf of their children under 16 years old, along with carers and professionals)
Despite the name, it's a magazine that is for people across the Autism Spectrum to read. The name was chosen by the original readers as they felt it was the most 'appropriate' name for the magazine.

The magazine was first created 24 years ago in 1993 by Pamela Yates and Patricia Howlin (in association with the Maudsley Hospital) and Mark Bebbington and Judy Lynch of the National Autistic Society in response to the lack of services for people people with Autism.
Its purpose is to put people with an Autistic Spectrum Condition in touch with each other and to share information to help individuals lead more independent lives. The magazine's articles are written by people on the autism spectrum, including Asperger syndrome, or (occasionally) by professionals with this group specifically in mind.
The articles include the following:
  • contributions from the UK and overseas
  • personal accounts of having Asperger syndrome or Autism
  • a pen pal page
  • letters to the editor
  • poems, artwork and short stories.
People can sign up for free for the magazine on the Nation Autistic Society's website - with it been delivered quarterly to your address in January, April, July and October each year.
Unfortunately, in the latest issue I've received the NAS have stated that after the October 2017 issue, Asperger United will no longer be printed. Instead, from January 2018 onward, the magazine will be online only for people to read.
Here is a mock-up of what the online magazine may look like: Asperger United - April, 2017 - NAS

To those of you who received the magazine and will be affected by this, you will receive a reader survey to state how it will affect you so they can look into providing solutions (which will be printed in the October 2017 edition).
An online version of the survey is here: Asperger United – Reader survey, July 2017

I don't know how many people this will affect, but I felt it was best to let people know just in case.

Yeah, I've heard of this magazine. Can't say I'm surprised it is going digital only, a lot of them are. I'm also glad to hear it's not just stopping altogether.

Agreed. Apparently, the cost of printing and sending it costs about £40,000 - although for overseas readers and professionals (who would likely want several copies) they would charge a small fee.
