Any funny stories from stimming

It was before my diagnosis, so I didn't realize it was a stimming thing but I've always bounced my leg over the edge of the bed until I relax enough to go to sleep. Especially if I'm in a strange environment. So my two sister's and I were in a motel room and I had to share a bed with my oldest sister. Not being home, I was a bit wired and add that I was having to share my bed, my leg was hanging over the edge of the bed bouncing quite a bit as I was trying to calm down. My sister would complain and I'd stop, only to find myself moments later doing it again. She was threatening to hang me upside down out of the window if I didn't stop. So the next night she made my other sister sleep with me. After that I ended up getting a cot to sleep alone - much preferred by everyone - especially myself.

Another time was when another co-worker and I were in our supervisor's office and we all kept hearing a beep at regular intervals and no one could figure out where it was coming from. Finally it was pointed out that every time I rocked forward I was pressing my phone. But then my boss asked why I was rocking and I was like, "I don't know". Also long before diagnosis. But is was funny when we were all trying to figure out where the beeping was coming from. (My phone was in my purse, which was in my lap.)

In high-school, in History class, I sat next to a highly textured wall and whenever I was in distress, I would rub the wall, and two nice people who sat near me and often talked to me figured this out and if I was doing it as they came in I could hear them whispering about it like, "Looks like something's wrong," and if I kept doing it regularly then stopped, they got excited. :D

Back when I was dating someone, I kept closing my eyes tightly for a moment again and again, and he asked me why, and the first thing I thought of was to tell him that it was because I'm tired and it's like sleeping for a fraction of second. Then said, "See?" and did it, "that's almost a whole second of rest." And he found it hilarious and ridiculous and laughed a lot.:rolleyes:
