Annual house deep cleaning poll!

Today, I am doing the annual deep cleaning of my house, so that when I go to bed tonight, I can sleep in a truly sublimely spotless environment.

Anybody else do this once a year? More often? Less often

I honestly haven't done a deep clean since I lived on my own. But what I do like to do is one or two cleaning tasks during a certain day. And space it out where I am not spending my whole time cleaning. Unless I am particularly motivated to clean.

If I were to deep clean my current living space. I would need my Uncle's help. There is alot more to clean than in a dinky studio apartment.

I personally find cleaning enjoyable. And I know it's not commonly liked thing. Making me kinda feel like a anomaly. Especially since I am a male. Not that gender should play a factor. But I personally have never ran into other men who enjoy it, ever. But I really don't interact much in the world. So I am sure I've missing a whole group of people, somewhere, that like cleaning.

I clean out the closets once a year and either throw away or give unwanted clothes away. It's amazing how much clothing just two people can accumulate over the course of a year.

Cleaning is like painting a ship. You start at one end and finish at the other. Then you start again. My place is never 100% clean at any one time, but I have four rooms, and two of them are workshop. There is a sign posted quoting my dad's pre-nup: "Sawdust is not dirt." It does stay sanitary, but not tidy or guest-ready.

You should see me after using a router on aluminum. Flakes everywhere, like aluminum foil confetti.

Small house just two of us easy to keep clean. For me it was about efficiency. We just want our son to get a house so all his wood working could be put in a shop he would have. four bedrooms, turned one into a small gym. another into a office library. Put in central vac everything I could think of to make life easier, induction heating stove.
