Adding the expressions bar to PM's.

Spiller

Just.. WEIRD!
If it's just me then shoot me now!

When I read a PM it can sometimes be a nearly-real time conversation.. and life gets in the way.

Is there any 'like' of the idea of the expressions, bottom-right, to be available on PM's, just for the original reason really, not having to come up with a post while wanting to be part of the conversation.

I keep going to click one and find they're not there.. it's getting annoying!

It keeps happening to me too spiller, especially where there are more then two people in the PM coversation. I feel a bit lost without the option to 'like' or 'agree' with what someone has said.

I also find myself looking for a 'brilliant' expression, but there isn't one... :(

This reminds me of the evangelist who said he didn't know what to do
regarding 'prophecies.' He was comfortable with speaking in tongues.
He was comfortable with people interpreting tongues. He just didn't
know what to do about times when he felt moved to prophesy.

An older church member told him that he would do fine if he translated
the ideas....which were in English in his mind, to English that came out of
his mouth. In other words, say it.

When there are times that a particular Smiley seems appropriate/necessary/
just the right thing to do, as a visual shorthand, it seems OK, to me, to
write: Here is where I would put Smiley/Green Wrinkly Tongue out Face/
Bouncy Kitten/Appalled/Zombie of regret.....whatever.....sort of Face. Write
in words the picture of that..."Dancing"/Lightbulb...etc.

In the meantime.
If expressive shorthand images/smileys ever do or
never do appear in the PM sector.

I agree, and what an eloquent way of putting it. I've been trying to remember to do this more often because I think it can mean something to people to know their comment was felt and acknowledged, beyond what you have to say in response.

tree, there's a "Zombie of regret"? Where? When would you use it?

Can I say here that we also need a 'Hug' button?
I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but I think it's an important addition!

You know in 'Easy Rider' when the hitchhiker gives one of the
guys some LSD and says to use it with the right people?
The use of a 'Zombie of Regret' image would be timed that way.

I have not seen an image with this particular label. However,
if it can be named, it can be done. [That sounds peppy. Maybe
I should start an MLM. Formulate a Ponzi scheme. Convince a group
of people to work on a novel together. Or I could do the wash.]

The 'Zombie of Regret' is an example of how words can come
in handy. We don't have an image of it to click, but now it's
in your head.
