A Benchmark Week

This week was a benchmark week for me - especially because my self-esteem had taken an absolute pummeling as a result of two hospitalizations last summer. This week at work had tons of schedule and routine changes which is something I really dislike strongly. I am encouraged that it is Saturday and I don't feel utterly drained despite maxing out my hours of service. I actually feel like I can run errands and do things. I wondered what made this week different than previous ones and I realized that the routes I was driving dealt with significantly less people. In fact, at any given time, I only dealt with one or two passengers who fell asleep almost instantly.

Given this set of circumstances, I now know that I can handle the rigors of expedited, hotshot hauling. Since dealing with groups of people was my main source of exhaustion, this week was very encouraging. Now I just have to pack some patience while I save money to get this thing off the ground. I'm not known for being a patient person; tolerant, yes, patient, no.

UGH!!! I hate routine and schedule changes, so I understand what you went through. Frankly, I think hotshot hauling probably wouldn't be as bad as what you're doing now. It may be a little more hectic, but not as challenging for the Aspie brain. I hope and pray it will all come together for you, as it sounds like an excellent career opportunity; being one's own boss would be icing on the cake.:)
Thank you, Sportster. I'm just grateful for your idea and advice!
