3D Printing Documentary

It's not loading for me. 3D printing gets a lot of buzz for application in human organ replacements/etc but I have only ever heard of it actually being put to use to make art and laboratory supplies...they were in fact supplies used for surgical implantation. I'm just wondering how successful the things that get printed are at integrating into the body because there's such a large amount of hype, yet the method seems very uncommon still!

I actually really enjoyed looking at the documentary. Honestly speaking, I would have loved to work for a company like that, something that involves a lot of creativity and innovation somewhere along the line. Just amazing. I would not be surprised if it starts doing 3D printing of food, doubt we are too far off from that?

I started reading Fabricated, an introduction to 3-D printing. Then I saw my first 3-D printer last year in Office Depot. I make items for board games and miniatures. If things continue to go well for me this year I'd love to do some hands-on experimenting--chess pieces or personalized Monopoly pieces, or see if I can 'draw' in the air with the pen model I've been hearing about.
