Barb Cook and Michelle Garnett, Eds.
Barb Cook and 14 other autistic women describe life from a female autistic perspective, and present empowering, helpful and supportive insights from their personal experience for fellow autistic women. Each Writer offers their personal guidance on significant issues that particularly affect women, as well as those that are more general to autism. Contributors cover issues including growing up, identity, diversity, parenting, independence, and self-care amongst many others. With great contributions from exceptional women, this is truly a well-rounded collection of knowledge and sage advice for any woman with autism.

Barb Cook is editor of the autism magazine Spectrum Women, and is very active writing articles, speaking at events, and advocating for autistic women.

A comprehensive book on life on the spectrum, as told by 15 women, each writing a chapter in full or in part, and each chapter followed by a commentary by Dr. Michelle Garnett, to throw in a psychologist's thoughts on the topic.
In my opinion, a must-read for anyone interested in learning about autism, since many of the themes are universal.
Many of the contributors have written a one of more well regarded books in their own right.
