Gender Identity, Sexuality and Autism: Voices from Across the Spectrum

Gender Identity, Sexuality and Autism: Voices from Across the Spectrum 2020-11-23

The book includes 15 narratives from ASD-LBGTQ+ individuals from a variety of backgrounds, identities, and ages, along with two commentaries from the perspective of a partner and two commentaries from the perspective of a parent.

It also includes a quick run-down of various terms so those without a background in LBGTQ+ terminology can follow along.

The authors/editors concede that while they tried to share as broad a collection as possible, that due to the nature of the story collection (voluntary participation mostly from their network), there is a skew towards the Northeastern US and also, everyone is either a college student or graduate. Notwithstanding that, this is a good start, and I can see the possibility of additional volumes with more and a broader variety of perspectives.
