  • >> There's this older guy and his wife and I think older sister or something. Seems nice enough so I ask if he can spare a few bucks for a bagel or something, down on my luck etc. Originally shakes his head no and says "You're on your own, bud." I kid you not five seconds later when they leave he comes right back and gives me $7, and even apologized to me!

Tbh I wasn't even upset by it. But hey, you really can't stay mad at a guy like that.

He didn't want to do it in front of his wife. I have received tips from working as waitress like this. They don't want to tip me in front of their wife. Glad you are at site.
Aight get this. Stuck downtown at home right now because it's gotten below 30 Fahrenheit out here, and we decided to go stay at the warming shelter (there's a baptist church here right after the Cotton Exchange, every year they open for a week to a few days or so). This afternoon, went and sat on a bench where some commonly-seen spirits (yes, my hometown is haunted... fun fact: one of them likes music.) hang out >>
Got myself a survival kit from Walmart. And it would be day 4 or so of following my stepdad's "soldier life" teachings. To be brutally honest, considering my usual opinions here on my status wall, actually doing what he has been going over with me is not only causing EVERYTHING I should have been learning and picking up on this whole time to stick like glue, I've actually been enjoying it!
Step-dad has been talking to me about when he used to be a soldier. Has been having serious talks about wanting me to "live" like a soldier. I have to be honest, despite the ways he has approached me before on being a man and what it is like to be a soldier, protecting your loved ones, knowing how to do things.... This time I think he's on to something.

Actually being one -- Oh yeah, it goes without saying I'm a long way off from that. I wasn't expecting it to happen like *that*, it's just a goal I've set.
Living like one -- What i often forget to mention is that my stepdad actually used to be a soldier. He was a weapons master. He still talks and acts like a typical civilian, obviously.
Thanksgiving and my family and I still haven't gotten paid yet?!

Of course, yesterday morning walking back through the woods in the park nature trail to get to my rain ruined tent... There were Yellow Jackets. One stung me... Twice...

"A single Yellow Jacket poses no threat to one's life, unless they possess an allergy to the venom found in a Yellow Jacket's glands. To a person with no allergy to it, it would take 1500 stings before the venom overpowers someone and kills them in 1d6 hours, though you would have to be intentionally allowing yourself to be stung that many times."

    UberScout
"In any case, if one feels threatened, they initiate an attack and begins its combat rounds with a 1d100 roll against a creature's DEX score; if the bug succeeds, they sting for 1d4 points of piercing damage. Being stung introduces a very painful, but not fatal dose of venom which burns like unholy hell for 1d8 hours afterward."

I was doing some woodwork outside one time and the noise from my hammering attracted a wasp that stung my arm. I immediately killed it with the hammer and then realized that, without thinking, I had violiently struck my own arm with a hammer three times.
I was able to surprise my family by returning to Wilmington early yesterday because a nice guy saw me walking on the road in Swansboro and gave me a ride to the nearest Greyhound station in Jacksonville. The man even paid for my ticket! Not only did he cover me on it, it only cost him $17.97, so I didn't even have to feel bad about him spending anything!

    PANIC! WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!

I found a NES homebrew game called Double Dream. You're a little jester guy in a dream world, and when you jump with A and press A in midair there's this spinkick move he does; hit the ground or a wall with it and he bounces and gains momentum. Guess what I've doing for the past three hours since I woke up?

So sad, l hopes she is okay. She is still pretty young. If you stay in touch with her, l think that's very important. You are THE only stable thing she has in her life. It's worse for women to be on their own then men currently. Please try your best to stay in contact.

Holy crap on a Christmas sunday, it's been too long. Let's see, uhh, Kure Beach, went to the aquarium, made friends with an otter, lucid dreams about Jellyfish and questionable decisions with money, Mom and dad were in hospital, back now, heading to them now.

Wow, you are going thru alot. Sorry to hear about your parents.
    Are you okay?

Yes, mostly. Just been busy trying to find a place at the beach to be. Gotta make my way back to Market Street to catch up at Rodeway Inn soon, but I need money.
UUGGGH!!! Cops shooed us away from another spot this morning just cause we were sleeping there!! And it's 96 Fahrenheit out there, all my usual sign flying spots are already snatched up. Not one person gave me more than a dollar so far today. Can we please turn the difficulty off of Very Hard?!

I do errands early to avoid people. I'm not really homeless but I don't like people, and I get to live where there are few people and no cops. Around here if you own your land and aren't growing weed and you keep your nose to yourself you are left alone.

Politicians seem to think that having the cops chase homeless people around the cities accomplishes something. It just makes it that much harder for the homeless to get jobs and stability.

We finally got the room. My phone got lost for a lil bit then Charles found it although now the screen is cracked, we had a police officer tell us to move from our spot at the abandoned college building this morning but Charles donated plasma and got the room for us.
