    I had no idea I had ASD-1 (Asperger's) growing up. In fact, I was in the Air Force before the diagnosis hit the DSM. I was 64 before I learned I was autistic.
    I did figure out I was different pretty early on. I didn't really need to be called dork, spaz, or retard to tell me I wasn't like the other kids, but they bestowed those titles on me anyway.
