What? I am on the speaker phone, oh boy.....

It's not a grey area. The person using speakerphone should always tell the other party if other people can hear them.

Met a fellow ASD-1 over the weekend.

Many of us do not like being touched, or touching other people (obviously not all autistic people are this way, but many are). Not because of contamination but because of the way it feels. People who meet someone new often like to shake hands. I knew there would be several people there that I...

    Favorite Shape?

I like blobs, like amoebas. They are ever-changing, yet still a blob.

I had a very intetesting day today

I haven't seen that movie. I guess it's om the list now. Generally though, Hollywood gets narcolepsy about as correct as they get autism. If you are physically active doing normal things, you don't randomly fall asleep. It's more like when you are comfortably seated doing minimal physical...

Met a fellow ASD-1 over the weekend.

He didn't seem disturbed when I caught him staring. He just kept looking, so after brief eye contact to acknowledge him, I looked elsewhere. I guess he doesn't realize yet that it's considered rude to stare at someone.

I had a very intetesting day today

Sleep seizures is the reason I started seeing my neurologist. My late wife witnessed me not being able to breathe during one. I was having 2 or 3 a week. Ended up finding out I also have narcolepsy. He put me on a good drug regimen that cuts the episodes to 1 - 2 a month and eliminates my...

    Nature as therapy

It took me years to come to that realization. Prior to that, I felt compelled to "convert" people into nature appreciators

Ways of cooling down an apartment without AC.

Actually, water evaporation with a fan is one of the oldest forms of airconditioning. The concept is often called a swamp cooler since swamps tend to be wet.

Ways of cooling down an apartment without AC.

I grew up in muggy Central Florida with no AC. Fans rule! Keep air moving around you to carry off body heat. I am also always naked at home. Furniture have towels draped on them to absorb sweat and to keep the sitting area sanitary.

    Buying things you don’t need

Haven't needed to yet, but it seems like you'd start with wire brush, then move to grinding wheel to smooth out the brush scratches.🤔

My worries about scaring you guys

Wow, so few people have that experience. You are blessed. They could have just shrugged it off to being young and stupid, but you actually witnessed remorse and apology. 👍

    Buying things you don’t need

As far as I'm aware, I don't have exfoliation needs. I guess if I find a reason to exfoliate 🤯, I have a number of attachments in my dremel kit. Generally though, I think I will just leave my skin where it is. Seems I will be less likely to leak various fluids with intact skin.

Met a fellow ASD-1 over the weekend.

Was visiting friends in Tennessee this weekend and because I knew there was going to be a small crowd there, I wore one of my "please don't touch me. I'm autistic" shirts so I wouldn't have to keep explaining that I don't shake hands. Anyway, I heard the wife of my friend couple tell her husband...
